台灣青年管樂團 Taiwan Youth Band

 

昨晚我到台中中山堂欣賞台灣青年管樂團的演出。雖然是一場免費音樂會，但演出一點也不馬虎，以我這個門外漢來說甚至覺得十分有水準。
Last night I went to see the Taiwan Youth Band perform at Taichung. Although it was a free concert, their performance was nothing short of top notch.

演奏歌曲除了台灣及日本民謠，還有現代電影樂曲。其中令我最驚喜的是高山青，一首很久沒有聽過的樂曲。當耳熟能詳的音符響起，我就想起小時候聽這歌時，總是覺得它有點土，但現在在這寶島生活，聽起來又有另一種截然不同的感覺。
The programme consist not only of local Taiwan and Japanese folksongs, but also soundtracks from popular movies. I was pleasantly surprised by a Taiwan folksong called Gao Shang Qing which is about a love story at the beautiful Alishan. When I used to listen to this as a child, I always thought this was a very old fashion song. Yet now, listening to it whilst living in Taiwan, it feels different.

結尾的歌曲是日本動畫”你的名字”主題曲”前前前世”。其實我未聽過這段音樂，因為我很少看日本動畫，但管樂團的表演真的很好聽。我之後還在網上找到片段回味，在這跟大家分享。
The finale was a soundtrack called “Previous previous previous life” from the popular Japanese teen anime “Your name“. To be honest I’ve never heard it before as I don’t watch Japanese anime, but the band did such a good job of it that I had to find it on youtube. Here it is if you’ve never heard it before.

我很佩服樂團成員。大家仍然是學生，相信平時要應付功課及各種考試一定忙得喘不過氣來，但大家都抽出時間學習音樂，排練歌曲及演出。同學們你們真的很棒!
All the Band members are still students so I guess normally they will be very busy with school and exams etc. I applaud them for still finding time to play music, rehearse and perform for us. Good job guys!
